Solon City Schools in Solon, Ohio is seeking an Instructional/Non-Instructional Aide to support students using Applied Behavior Analysis principles. The role involves implementing behavior plans and engaging proactively with students.
Applicants should have a Bachelor Degree in Education, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to manage and organize data. Full-day commitment and background checks are required. The position offers training and ongoing support from experienced educators.
The selected applicant will be required to carry out a program developed by professionals using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Applied Behavior Analysis is the process of systematically applying evidence‑based interventions to improve socially significant behaviors to a meaningful degree, and to demonstrate that the interventions employed are responsible for the improvement in the behavior. Training will be provided by the School Psychologist, Lead Teacher, with support from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Collaboration in ongoing. Daily support is provided by school personnel, administrative, support, and instructional. Behavior technicians are trained to follow behavior plans for challenging behaviors and to provide direct instruction for skills across areas such as communication, adaptive, and vocational. This position is not a medical‑related position; it is a support position for student behavior.

Work Days: As per Board Agreement
Responsible To: Classroom Teacher and Building Principal
Bachelor Degree in Education, preferred.
Will show evidence of demonstrated teaching, educational skills and interest in students and their education.
Has the ability to communicate and deal with students, teachers and the public in a congenial and positive manner.
Has demonstrated aptitude and competence for assigned responsibilities.
Exhibits acceptable standards of emotional stability, moral character, sound health and is physically able to perform necessary job responsibilities.
Exhibits a pleasant and dignified classroom manner, is neat in appearance and has the ability to adjust to change.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
