One of our clients is seeking an Instructional Aide with a Paraprofessional Certification to provide services to children (K-12) in the Northern, VA area.Compensation Rate range from $20.00+/ hr.
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* Use effective lesson delivery techniques to provide instruction to students and facilitate classroom discussions in a variety of subjects including Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, etc.
* Collaborate with the general education teacher suggesting appropriate modifications and/or accommodations to the lesson plan; ensuring their implementation through team teaching, co-teaching, in either small group or whole class; and assessing overall progress of the students
* Provided one on one or small group support for students, assisting with academic tasks, behavior management, and social skills development.
* Complete reports on attendance, student progress, and other documentation as required by the administrative team.
* Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, recess, and other school related events.
* Provide instructional support to students with special needs, ensuring that they have the accomodations and modifications necessary for their success.
* Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents regarding student needs, progress, and any concerns.
* Develop and maintain positive and supportive relationships with all students and staff.
CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Associates Degree or Paraprofessional Certification.
* Minimum of 6 months working with children.
* Experience in Autism and working in a multi cultural setting serving youth.
