Job summary

Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Vancouver, WA is seeking an Instructional Aide to support classroom instruction on a part-time basis for the 2026-2027 school year. The role involves collaborating with the classroom teacher to engage students, assist with activities, and manage daily classroom operations.

Ideal candidates will have experience with children in a school setting, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a commitment to Catholic education.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher in implementing lessons and instructional activities.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students.
• Support classroom management and reinforce positive behavior.
• Prepare instructional materials and organize classroom resources.
• Support students in developing independence, responsibility, and positive peer interactions.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, specialist classes, and recess.
• Help maintain an organized, orderly, clean, and safe classroom environment.
• Support the integration of Catholic teachings and values into daily instruction.
• Participate in prayer, school Mass, religious activities, and liturgical celebrations with students.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, families, and students.

Job Details: Job Location: 0152 Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Vancouver - Vancouver, WA 98663, Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: $20.00 - $20.00 Hourly, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School is seeking an Instructional Aide to provide classroom support on a part-time basis for the 2026-2027 school year. A successful candidate will have experience working with children in a school setting and will work collaboratively with the classroom teacher to support instruction, student engagement, and daily classroom operations.

The Instructional Aide serves in a part-time capacity in accordance with the school calendar and schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the classroom teacher in implementing lessons and instructional activities
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students
• Support classroom management and reinforce positive behavior strategies
• Prepare instructional materials and organize classroom resources
• Support students in developing independence, responsibility, and positive peer interactions
• Supervise students during classroom activities, specialist classes, and recess
• Help maintain an organized, orderly, clean, and safe classroom environment
• Support the integration of Catholic teachings and values into daily instruction
• Participate in prayer, school Mass, religious activities, and liturgical celebrations with students

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children, preferably in a school
• Basic knowledge of child development
• Understanding of and respect for the mission of Catholic education
• Strong communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
