Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking an Instructional Aide at Canton College Preparatory School in Canton, Ohio. In this role, the Aide assists the Teacher with classroom activities while promoting positive student behavior.

Responsibilities include supporting instructional plans, performing clerical tasks, and maintaining classroom cleanliness. The ideal candidate has an Associate degree or equivalent, proficiency in MS Office, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, two years of college coursework, or the passage of the Paraprofessional’s Exam.
• Successful completion of BCI/FBI check.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines consistently.
• High quality written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Teacher with classroom activities and promotes positive student behaviors.
• Supports lessons taught by the teacher and follows instructional plans.
• Performs clerical duties such as grading papers and making copies.
• Helps maintain the cleanliness of classroom and lunchroom.
