Assist teacher in preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements. Work under supervision of certified teacher.

Qualifications:

Education / Certification:

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Instructional Support:

1. Assist certified teachers, administration and office staff in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
2. Help maintain neat and orderly classroom.
3. Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment and instructional materials. Plan, organize and make workroom supplies, paper goods, and materials readily available to staff.
4. Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher; work with individual students or small groups.

Student Management:

1. Help supervise students throughout the school day, inside and outside the classroom. This includes lunchroom, bus, and playground duty.
2. Keep teacher informed of special needs or problems of individual students.

Other:

1. Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.
2. Participate in faculty meetings and special events as assigned.
