Salary Range: $19.50 - $25.96 (Hourly)

Open Continuous.

Starting salary for this position is: $19.50 (Hourly)

Employees starting at the entry step of this range receive salary step advancement after six months and every 12 months thereafter. An employee starting at anything higher than the entry step of the range will have salary step advancement after 12 months and every 12 months thereafter until they reach the top of the salary range. Each salary step advancement will be approximately a 5% increase.

About the Instruction & Classroom Support Technician 1 - Hourly

This position works under the general supervision of the Manager of PACE Services. PACE Services is a branch of the Adult Basic Education Division and provides instruction to students with cognitive disabilities or mental health challenges. The successful candidate for this position will perform routine instructional support services for the division, including assisting in classroom preparation, supporting students with coursework, and providing individualized and group instruction in learning skills or other areas.

This is a non-permanent, hourly position.

Characteristic Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assist supervisor/instructor in classroom work, field trips, and lecture periods.
  • Support students with study skills, course concepts, assignments, or other instructional areas.
  • Assist in preparing materials and resources for classroom use.
  • Support students in identifying classroom and electronic resources.
  • Attend all required trainings and orientations.
  • Perform other work as required.
  • Model professional decorum and mutual respect.
  • Comply with policies, procedures, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Support Spokane Colleges' strategic plan and perform other duties as assigned.
