The incumbent holds a position of trust and adheres to the policies and procedures that govern the Agency for Persons with Disabilities and Tacachale to ensure the safety of the residents, employees, and visitors of Tacachale.
Patrols the grounds to ensure unoccupied buildings are secured, looking for potential hazards or suspicious activity. Controls access to Tacachale, processes outgoing and incoming resident trips, assists emergency responders, and responds to all calls for assistance center wide. Answer incoming calls, connect callers to desired parties, documents resident incident reports, maintain several logs, monitor the fire alarm panel, and notify officers as necessary. In emergencies, contacts the appropriate staff.
Compiles and prepares reports, both manually and via computer.
Assist or perform routine fire drills as required.
Conduct vehicle inspections weekly, with cursory inspections daily. Maintains cleanliness and condition of security vehicles.
Perform other related duties as required.
This position may be required to perform essential services before, during, and after an emergency per APD OP 2-0035.
This position is critical to the safety and supervision of residents and may require the incumbent to work beyond their normal work schedule to maintain minimum coverage levels in the facility.
