Institutional Research Manager (HEA) - Office of Institutional Research

Position Overview

The Office of Institutional Research supports the college's decision-making, strategic planning, and assessment through research and reporting activities, including data collection for audits, faculty workload, and program evaluation.

The Institutional Research Manager will report to the Director of Institutional Research in the Office of the Provost. Responsibilities include developing the Common Data Set, completing ranking surveys such as US News and World Reports, maintaining the Factbook, providing data for accreditation, and fulfilling ad hoc requests.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and six years’ related experience.
  • Experience with statistical software (e.g., R or Python) and analytics software (Tableau or Power BI).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Ranking Surveys (USNWR, etc.), CUNY Student Data, and database management.
  • Master’s, professional, or terminal degree in a relevant field (social science, data science, computer science, etc.).
  • Experience in higher education, institutional analytics, and data governance.
  • Documented expertise in institutional research.
Job Responsibilities
  • Manage institutional research programs and studies related to the college's mission.
  • Develop relevant, timely, and accurate institutional data for various stakeholders.
  • Design and conduct data analyses, interpret results, and develop policy recommendations.
  • Participate in strategic planning, effectiveness, and assessment tasks.
  • Respond to data requests, manage surveys, and maintain research documentation.
  • Consult with faculty and students on database design for research projects.
Additional Details

Position Title: Institutional Research Manager

Title: Higher Education Associate

FLSA Status: Exempt

Salary Range: $107,179 - $117,805, commensurate with experience.
