Job summary

The University of Mississippi seeks a Data Analyst I/II to support institutional research by collecting, retrieving, transforming, analyzing, validating, and reporting institutional data. The role contributes to effectiveness and decision-making, prepares internal and external responses, and supports survey and data governance efforts.

This position is not eligible for remote work and reports to the Director of Institutional Research within Institutional Research, Effectiveness, & Planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (required).
• Relevant experience.
• Ability to complete work with a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to examine data critically.
• Ability to contribute to improvement of data sources, data visualizations, and use of data by stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit accurate, timely institutional reports for multiple agencies.
• Coordinate campus data collection for external data requests and questionnaires.
• Perform statistical analyses using SAS, SPSS, R, and other methods.
• Use SQL, Excel, and Tableau to transform data and perform complex operations.
• Maintain datasets and reporting structures used for institutional reporting.
• Serve as a point of contact for internal and external data requests.
