Job summary

Belmont College seeks an Institutional Research Data Analyst/Database Administrator to oversee Administrative Information Systems (AIS) under the Executive Vice President/COO/ALO. The role ensures data integrity, secure access, and effective data management for institutional reporting and decision making.

The incumbent will maintain SQL-based solutions, coordinate programming staff, and develop processes to support campus data needs and dashboards.

Qualifications

• This position requires considerable experience in data analysis and reporting, general computer operations, SQL and Microsoft Access, and reporting software and implementation.
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree preferred. Any equivalent combination of certifications and education which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties.
• Experience in higher education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain administrative information systems and databases for campus use.
• Coordinate programming and operations staff for daily AIS tasks and project work.
• Design database solutions that provide fast access, multiple views, accuracy, security, and data sharing.
• Produce reports and data extracts for internal users and external agencies as required.
• Perform performance tuning of queries and interfaces to improve system efficiency.
• Provide training and support to users on data structures and dashboard deployments.
