University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking an Institutional Research and Survey Support Analyst to help transform data into actionable insights. You will analyze data, build reports, and support campus decisions across CU Denver and the CU Anschutz Medical Campus.

The role involves coordinating surveys in Qualtrics, producing standard and ad hoc analyses, and partnering with administration, schools, and faculty to promote student success and institutional effectiveness.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in business administration, social sciences, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
• 1 year of professional level experience in data analysis and reporting, including using tools to present, summarize, and manipulate data (tables, charts, graphs) and experience with SQL, SAS, SPSS or other data management tools.
• Substitution: a combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Respond to requests for information and analysis from within CU Denver and CU Anschutz by combining, analyzing, and interpreting data resulting from operational activities to support institutional planning and decision making.
• Prepare mandatory and ad hoc analyses and reports for CU System administration, state/federal agencies, and external constituencies such as college guidebook publications.
• Organize, combine, summarize, and analyze data about students and/or faculty/staff from multiple sources, identifying new or enhanced sources as needed.
• Assist campus partners with survey administration including building surveys in Qualtrics, managing distributions and creating visualization of survey results.
• Stay up to date on website requirements, manage website maintenance, and facilitate campus-wide office communications.

The Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness (OIRE) at CUDenver | Anschutz supports the university's mission throughdata-driven insight, strategic reporting, andcampus-widecollaboration. This Institutional Research and Survey Support Analyst positionwill participate in several efforts of the Office of InstitutionalResearch and Effectiveness (OIRE). This includes responding torecurring and ad hoc requests for data/information about CU Denverand CU Anschutz.

What you will do:

Qualifications you already possess (MinimumQualifications)

• A bachelor's degree in business administration, social sciences,information systems, or a directly related field from an accreditedinstitution.
• 1 (one) year of professional level experience in data analysisand reporting, to include using a variety of tools to present,summarize, and manipulate data (including creating tables, chartsand graphs) and experience working with SQL, SAS, SPSS or otherdata management or data warehousing tools.
• Substitution: A combination of education and relatedtechnical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for thebachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualification to possess (PreferredQualifications)

• Two years of professional level experience in data analysis andreporting.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools, particularlyTableau
• Survey experience: survey design and analysis and/or building,managing, and administering surveys in Qualtrics or other surveytool.
• Previous institutional research or other education/highereducation analytic roles

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing andorally.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationshipswith employees at all levels throughout the institution.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Understanding of relational database concepts and queries.
• Ability to analyze implications of changes in methods, inputdata, and policies.
• Proven skills in using data from data warehouses/relationaldatabases and assembling data from a variety of sources.
• Assisting with managing complex projects for yourself and theoffice.
• Experience with website maintenance/design and/or officecommunications.
• Proven skills in statistical methods, predictive analytic models,and/or related analytic techniques.

This position follows a hybrid work structure where employees canwork remotely or from the office, as needed, based on demands ofspecific tasks or personal work preferences. Working from theoffice is encouraged when working on tasks that require a highdegree of collaboration.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has beenestablished at $66,334 - $67,500.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be setbased on a variety of factors, including but not limited to,internal equity, experience, education, specialty andtraining.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents theUniversity's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range ofpossible compensation at the time of posting.
This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
