• Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

• Respond to requests for information and analysis from within CU Denver and CU Anschutz (administration, school/colleges, faculty, staff, and students) by combining, analyzing, and interpreting data resulting from operational activities of CU Denver | Anschutz to provide information that supports institutional planning, policy formulation and decision making.
• Prepare mandatory and ad hoc analyses and reports for CU System administration, state/federal agencies, and other external constituencies, such as college guidebook publications.
• Organize, combine, summarize, and analyze data about students and/or faculty/staff from a variety of sources, including identification of new or enhanced sources as needed.
• Assist campus partners with survey administration including building surveys in Qualtrics, managing distributions and creating visualization of survey results.
• Stay up to date on website requirements, manage website maintenance, and facilitate campus-wide office communications.

The Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness (OIRE) at CU Denver | Anschutz supports the university's mission through data-driven insight, strategic reporting, and campus-wide collaboration. This Institutional Research and Survey Support Analyst position will participate in several efforts of the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness (OIRE). This includes responding to recurring and ad hoc requests for data/information about CU Denver and CU Anschutz.

What you will do:

Preferred Qualification to possess (Preferred Qualifications)

• Two years of professional level experience in data analysis and reporting.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools, particularly Tableau
• Survey experience: survey design and analysis and/or building, managing, and administering surveys in Qualtrics or other survey tool.
• Previous institutional research or other education/higher education analytic roles

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Understanding of relational database concepts and queries.
• Ability to analyze implications of changes in methods, input data, and policies.
• Proven skills in using data from data warehouses/relational databases and assembling data from a variety of sources.
• Assisting with managing complex projects for yourself and the office.
• Experience with website maintenance/design and/or office communications.
• Proven skills in statistical methods, predictive analytic models, and/or related analytic techniques.

This position follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely or from the office, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. Working from the office is encouraged when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $66,334 - $67,500.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
