Job summary

Aurora University seeks an Institutional Research Analyst to support accreditation, reporting, planning, and decision-making across campus. You will perform advanced quantitative analyses, automate reporting processes, and translate findings into actionable insights for leaders and partners.

The role requires advanced SQL and data visualization skills, experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and the ability to communicate complex results to diverse audiences while upholding privacy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a strong quantitative or research-methods emphasis required. Master’s degree preferred.
• Three+ years of institutional research or higher education analytics experience.
• Advanced ability to query, combine, validate, analyze, and interpret complex data using SQL and analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Collect, validate, maintain, analyze, and report institutional data to support planning and accountability.
• Lead complex recurring and ad hoc analyses related to enrollment, retention, and student outcomes; communicate actionable findings.
• Coordinate and prepare external reports (IPEDS, Common Data Set, NCAA) and maintain a calendar of requirements.
• Develop, document, test, and improve reproducible data processes, queries, dashboards, and reports.
• Translate complex data into accessible reports and executive summaries for university leaders.
