Job Duties

Position provides functional supervision of the Treatment Department and is responsible for quality of inmate classification and work assignment processes at the Unit. Ensures quality evidence-based programs and services are provided to meet inmate treatment and reentry needs. Serves as an Administrative Duty Officer managing all institutional operations on a rotational basis. Responsible for conducting and attending unit meetings to ensure audit compliance and information exchange. Assists in the development, preparation, compliance, review and revision of ACA Standards folders and Treatment policies/procedures. Develops and establishes professional relationships with internal and external audiences to enhance information networks, assists inmates, and ensures smooth facility operation. Promotes the development of self and staff through training. May supervise staff in Recreation Services or Chaplain Services.

Minimum Qualifications

Extensive working knowledge of VADOC correctional policies, procedures and practices. Demonstrated ability to complete reports and/or write policies or procedures. Extensive knowledge of inmate classification processes and inmate reentry preparation. High school diploma or equivalent.

Additional Considerations

Skilled in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of inmate evidence-based practices. Knowledge of inmate treatment modalities. Prior supervisory experience.
