LA Opera is seeking an Institutional Giving Assistant to support our Foundation, Corporate and Government fundraising efforts under the Director of Institutional Giving and Government Relations. The role requires strong writing and administrative skills and attention to detail.
You will assist with grant reports, sponsorship tracking, donor acknowledgments, data entry, and presentation creation, with hybrid work options and occasional evenings or weekends as needed to support fundraising
Contributed revenue is a primary and critical source of LA Opera’s income, andweare hiring an Institutional Giving Assistant to provide support forthe fundraising work that makes LA Opera’s productions, programs and impact possible. Reporting to the Director of Institutional Giving and Government Relations, the Institutional Giving Assistant provides support for all aspects of our Foundation, Corporate and Government fundraising efforts.
Responsibilitiesincludewritingreports for grants received,maintaininggrants and corporate sponsorship tracking and calendar,helpingto implement corporate fulfillment,assistingin the creation of corporate sponsorshippresentations,tracking and drafting acknowledgement letters,assisting with data entry of donations, and providing other support to the Institutional Giving team and broader Development department.
We are seeking a candidate interested in joining a dynamic, collaborative team at one of LA’s preeminent performing arts institutions. We’re looking for candidates with strong written and oral communication skills,an aptitude for learning new processes and applications, and good administrative skills, including proficiency using databases and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Prior experience in a nonprofit/fundraising environment is preferred.
