An established industry player is seeking a dedicated individual to oversee kitchen operations within an institutional setting. This role requires a high school diploma and two years of experience in food preparation, including supervisory duties. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the kitchen, maintaining food safety standards, and leading a team in food service excellence. Note:If appointed, employees in this classification must obtain a Louisiana State Department of Education School Food Service Training Certification during the probation period. No probationary period may last longer than one year. Failure to obtain a Louisiana State Department of Education School Food Service Training Certification during the probationary period will result in termination. Employees terminated under this provision must wait one year from the date of termination or obtain the above listed certification to be rehired.

A rating of training and experience, weighted 100%. All related previous experience will be considered for qualification purposes; however, credit on the rating of training and experience will only be given for experience gained within the last ten (10) years.
This is an original entrance examination.

WORKING TEST PERIOD: Effective August 1, 2023, the working test (probationary) period for all positions in the classified service is one year.
