Job summary

Sonsray Inc. is seeking an entry-level Installer Technician in El Cajon, CA. This hands-on role supports our Fleet division with the installation of Thermo King VP/APU units on trucks and vans, and assists senior technicians with wiring, mounting, and system setup.

Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and motivated to grow in a fast-paced shop. A valid driver’s license and reliable teamwork are essential aspects of this position.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude or interest in fleet, diesel, or equipment service.
• Previous hands-on experience in automotive, diesel, HVAC, construction, or shop environment is a plus but not required.
• Willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions from senior technicians.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Ability to work in a shop environment, including standing, bending, lifting, and working with tools and equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (as required).
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.

• Perform basic shop tasks such as tool organization, parts staging, and work area cleanup.
• Learn proper use of hand and power tools in a shop environment.
• Accurately document work performed as directed by the Service Manager or lead technician.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support shop operations and dealership objectives.
