Overview

FASTSIGNS #69908 is hiring for an Installer to join our team. As an Installer, you will play an important role in installing finished signs or graphics in a variety of environments (ground, wall, vehicle, or ceiling). You will use a variety of tools to assemble, erect and hang items, both inside and out. This role involves physical activity, including moving, lifting, and building for sign installations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all offsite sign and print media installations
• Able to assess an environment for the needs and techniques of the installation
• Review job requirements and verify measurements before starting
• Able to work independently and with other team members when required
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application including cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc.
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images; weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of images
• Operate and maintain printer(s)
• Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by reading and interpreting a Work Order and proofing for errors or unacceptable standards
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating and/or mounting of printed pieces
• Report inventory levels and stock needs to the center manager/production manager or franchisee
• Clean and maintain storage areas

Qualifications

• Clean driving record
• 18 years of age or older
• 1-2 years of experience in sign production; experience in install preferred
• Previous experience in sign installation, construction, or a related field preferred
• Proficiency with hand tools and equipment used in sign installation
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and practices
• Basic carpentry, electrical, or welding skills, if applicable
• Scissor lift and bucket truck experience preferred but not required
• Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment
• Comfortable working at heights (ladders, scaffolding, or lifts)
• Good physical stamina and manual dexterity
• Ability to stand for long periods (4 hours or more)
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
• Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate
• Ability to work under pressure to produce high-volume, high-quality work
• Experience in Adobe Illustrator preferred
• Ability to prioritize jobs, multi-task, and work autonomously
