Workspace Interiors, Inc. is seeking a full-time Commercial Furniture Technician/Installer to receive, unload, and install modular and freestanding furniture.

The role requires following specifications, maintaining quality service, and ensuring customer satisfaction on site. The position involves lifting up to 75 lbs, working on stairs and ladders, and potential weekend or overtime work to meet project timelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Mechanical ability with hand/power tools; familiarity with installation tasks.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and install modular and freestanding furniture.
• Ensure accurate, timely installation per manufacturer specs and customer needs.
• Read floor plans and installation drawings; ensure safe, proper site handling.
• Travel between customer sites as required and work weekend/overtime when needed.

We are growing our Operations team and have an opening for a full-time Commercial Furniture Technician/Installer. In this role you are responsible to receive, unload, and install systems furniture (modular) and freestanding furniture. Ensures accurate and timely installation of products in compliance with manufacturer’s specifications and to the customer’s satisfaction. Prior furniture installation/Steelcase furniture systems product knowledge a plus. Must be able to work on weekend and overtime, as needed.

Education/Experience

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Mechanical ability with knowledge of hand/power tools
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to follow instructions thoroughly
• Exceptional customer service skills with ability to maintain a positive, respectful, and professional demeanor at all times.

General and Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 lbs regularly and occasionally heavier items with team assistance or equipment.
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, reach, crouch, and kneelfor extended periods throughout the workday.
• Must be able to ascend/descend stairs and laddersand navigateunfinished, uneven, or cluttered job sitessafely.
• Must be able touse hand and power toolssafely and effectively for assembly and installation tasks.
• Must be able toread and interpret floor plans, installation drawings, and written instructions.
• Must havereliable transportationand avalid driver’s license, as work may involve travel between customer sites.
• Must be able to work invarious environmental conditions, including indoor and outdoor sites, buildings under construction or renovation, and spaces without climate control.
