Job summary

Acorn Stairlifts is seeking a motivated, customer-focused individual to grow sales, develop business partnerships, and install and service stairlift systems within an assigned territory. This role includes in-home sales consultations, measuring staircases, installing stairlift systems, testing components, and building lasting customer relationships while managing appointments and paperwork.

Build More Than Stairlifts - Build Independence

Acorn Stairlifts is seeking a motivated, customer-focused individual to grow sales, develop business partnerships, and install and service stairlift systems within an assigned territory.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys sales, building relationships, working independently, and making a meaningful difference in customers’ lives by helping them maintain independence and mobility at home.

What You'll Do

Sales & Business Development

• Develop new business opportunities and referral partnerships with medical equipment providers, pharmacies, and other businesses.
• Conduct in-home sales consultations, explain product benefits, provide quotes, discuss financing options, and close sales.

Installation & Technical Service

• Measure staircases and install stairlift systems in residential properties.
• Test, troubleshoot, repair, and service stairlift components.

Customer Relationships & Operations

• Build customer relationships, generate referrals, and manage appointments efficiently while maintaining company equipment.
• Complete sales paperwork, service reports, inventory tracking, and payment processing; follow safety procedures and complete all required training.

What We're Looking For

• 2-3 years of sales experience preferred, with strong relationship-building, business development, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to generate leads, develop partnerships, build customer relationships, and close sales.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools; background in construction, carpentry, remodeling, automotive, HVAC, appliance installation, or related trades preferred.
• Proficiency with smartphones, tablets, and mobile applications for scheduling and documentation.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage a daily schedule independently; valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, bend, kneel, and crouch while performing installation and service tasks.
• Comfortable with extended driving, outdoor work in varying weather conditions, and additional hours as needed.
