Job summary

Black Lion Heating in Kirkland, WA is seeking a Lead Installer to install HVAC equipment in residential homes, following manufacturer specs and local codes. You will perform ductwork, refrigerant line work, and ensure system start-up and operation meet quality standards.

The role requires a minimum six months of HVAC installation experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Brazing and soldering refrigerant lines for air conditioning units.
• Ensure gas line connections are secure.
• Perform holes, framing and cutting as required by job specs.
• Ensure thermostats are functional and HVAC systems operate correctly.
• Load materials into the vehicle and maintain the jobsite and vehicle safety.
• Follow safety trainings and company policies; participate in meetings and trainings.

TheLead Installeris responsible forinstallation of HVAC equipment into residentialcustomer’shomes including but not limited to furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, airhandlersandother relatedcomponents.

Essential Job Functions

• E Install HVAC equipment into residential customer homes per manufacturer specifications, company policy,localand state required codes.
• E Effectivelyperform the functions of equipment troubleshooting, installation, start-up,operationand other duties asrequiredto ensure customer satisfaction.
• E Performinstallation of flex and sheet metal duct systems in residential buildings to AMI Quality Standards,requiredcodeand job specifications.
• E Performinstallation of refrigerant lines to air conditioning units, including brazing and soldering.
• E Ensuregas line connections and fittingstoare properly secured.
• E Performmetal and wood hole cutting,framingand nailing outlets as required by job specifications.
• E Ensurefunctionality of thermostats to control HVACsystemis operational.
• E Verifyall materials and equipmentrequiredfor each scheduled job and load into company vehicle.
• E Performall dutiesin accordance withappropriate safetytrainings and regulations as defined by company policy and procedure.
• E Ensurethat company vehicle ismaintainedand operated in accordancetocompany driving policy.
• E Provideknowledge,trainingand guidance to Install Helpers toassistin the development of skills necessary to perform HVAC installation job requirements.
• E Participateand attend all required employee meetings and trainings.

Education and Experience

This position requiresa minimum of six monthspriorHVAC installation experience.Requires a high school diploma and/orany equivalent of education and experience to meet the essential functions of the job.Must have a valid driver’s license and remain insurable under our company insurance policy.
