Job summary

Comcast in Laurel, MD is hiring a Solar Installation Helper to support electricians and installers on residential solar projects. You will handle conduit, wire, and racking, work from heights, and keep a clean, safe job site.

The role requires construction experience, comfort with hand tools, and an active driver's license. You will work with moderate supervision and may be scheduled nights and weekends as needed. Base pay starts around $23/hour with benefits.

Responsibilities

• Assisting electricians and installers during solar installations
• Carrying out tasks such as bending conduit, stripping and terminating wire, and maintaining an organized job site
• Assisting in the installation of solar panel systems, including mounting panels and racking, and wiring
• Using hand and power tools to install racking
• Servicing the solar system as needed
• Laying out and installing conduit, disconnecting switches and junction boxes correctly
• Performing jobs from high places (i.e. on roofs) including climbing ladders with proper equipment and materials
• Adhering to all quality and safety codes
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Base Pay: $23.00
