Insidesource is seeking an Installer to join a regional on-site furniture installation team in Seattle. You will work under a Lead Installer to complete installations for projects of varying sizes, with availability for day and night shifts and scheduled recovery time between shifts.

Responsibilities include safe operation of tools, reading plans, and ensuring high-quality workmanship that aligns with dealership standards. A valid driver’s license and pass of background checks are required.

Formación

Job Summary

Works as part of a larger team under the direction of a Lead Installer to complete on-site furniture installations on projects of various sizes throughout the region. Please note this position requires availability for both day and night shifts, and we ensure sufficient recovery time is scheduled between shift changes

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Uphold a strong work ethic and ethical approach to the business; be punctual and self-motivated.
  • Possess the ability to interact in a professional manner with team and customers; maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Work successfully on a multi-person crew.

Technical and Product

  • Able and willing to safely drive a car or box truck to sites throughout the region.
  • Understand installation scope and work processes.
  • Mechanically adept and able to safely use hand tools and power tools and equipment, including portable saw, chop saw, etc.
  • Ability to read plans, blueprints, evaluations and product specifications.
  • Ability to show consistently excellent furniture installation skill, resulting in projects with good workmanship and high quality that meet the dealership’s field standards of performance.
  • Ability to complete all technical installation operations, including wall strips, field measuring, in-line step down modifications, product repairs, simple field cuts and product modifications, etc.
  • Ability to specify product and complete small inventories.
  • Knowledge and understanding of all product application and use.
  • Knowledge of electricity and electrical hookups to building power; ability to interface with electricians and cabling subcontractors.
  • Comfortable driving a bobtail or cube truck and can do so safely.
  • Understand furniture material handling and logistical processes.
  • Can receive and document receipt of product in a thorough and accurate manner.

Responsibility and Decision-Making

  • Take ownership for projects, results, and details including follow through to project completion.
  • Ability to react to varying project/field conditions and make decisions to resolve problems and changes to the scope of work (as needed).

Administrative

  • Ensure all paperwork is neat, clear, legible, and complete.
  • Ability to communicate project status, problems, and punch-list (in writing) to dispatch, sales personnel, sales support, and to project management personnel.
  • Analyze project for correct tool, supply, equipment, and vehicle requirements, including small parts and product pulls from warehouse.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • None

Experience/Education Required

  • Valid driver’s license; must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Record check and Department of Transportation medical physical.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Tool Policy

Standard Tools – Personal and Hand Tools

Employee is responsible to provide and maintain a tool kit with the necessary tools to perform their job duties. See manager/supervisor to verify essential tools required by role. Employee is expected

protect tools used for work-related purposes from loss, damage or theft. Tools lost, missing, worn, and/or broken must be replaced by the employee.

Power and Specialty Tools

Insidesource keeps inventory of power and specialty tools for employee use. Management actively reviews inventory for purchase of additional tools as necessary.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds unassisted; ability to stand up and take down 214 pound panels on a two-person crew.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for long periods of time
  • Must be able to bend, twist and move repeatedly
