Job summary

Subzero Engineering in San Antonio, TX is seeking experienced Traveling Installation Technicians to support data center projects across the United States. You will install hot aisle and cold aisle containment systems and travel 4 to 6 weeks at a time, returning home between assignments.

Ideal candidates have data center construction experience, can read installation drawings, and are mechanically inclined. We provide comprehensive benefits and safety training, including OSHA certifications.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Site Services Installation Technician (Traveling Data Center Installer)

Location: San Antonio, TX 78245 (Must reside within 40 miles of ZIP Code 78245)

Position Type: Full-Time Traveling Position

Overview

Subzero Engineering is seeking experienced Traveling Installation Technicians to support data center projects across the United States. This position is ideal for individuals with data center construction experience who are comfortable working on active construction sites and traveling extensively.

Technicians will install hot aisle and cold aisle containment systems that help manage airflow and improve cooling efficiency inside mission-critical data center environments. Candidates must be willing to travel for extended project durations of 4 to 6 weeks at a time before returning home.

Required Qualifications

• Previous data center experience strongly preferred.
• Experience working on active commercial construction sites.
• Experience installing containment systems, cable tray, racking systems, mechanical systems, or similar infrastructure preferred.
• Ability to interpret basic construction drawings and installation instructions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on installation experience.
• Reliable transportation to and from the home reporting location.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel nationwide.

Travel Requirements

• Must reside within 40 miles of San Antonio, TX 78245.
• Must be willing and able to travel throughout the United States.
• Travel assignments typically last 4 to 6 weeks at a time.
• Daily per diem provided during travel assignments.
• Must possess and maintain valid travel identification.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has previous data center construction experience, understands the importance of working safely in mission-critical environments, and has experience installing containment systems, rack infrastructure, cable tray, or similar products. This individual is dependable, mechanically inclined, and willing to travel extensively to support data center projects across the country.
