Job summary

Skyview Detroit is seeking a skilled carpenter/pergola installer to join our team and install StruXure motorized pergolas and Magnatrack screens.

The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years of carpentry/construction experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a clean driving record. You will work Monday–Friday with occasional weekends, handling project requirements and interacting with customers to ensure high-quality results.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in construction or skilled labor (cabentry, roofing, window install or similar).
• High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or trade school preferred.
• Experience using a brake and hand tools (utility knife, hammer, cordless drills, etc.).
• Clean driving record; ability to operate and maintain fleet vehicle and work trailer.
• Strong math and excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Skyview Detroit has an opening for a Carpenter / Pergola Installer. This position includes installation of the StruXure motorized pergola and Magnatrack Motorized screens.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure all jobs are built plumb, square, and comply with engineering specifications as well as regulatory code requirements
• Review contract folder and all instructions/drawings before leaving on assignments to clarify work to be completed
• Interact with customers in a professional manner, while maintaining the integrity of the company
• Ensure vehicle being driving is fully equipped with all necessary parts, products, tools, and resources necessary to complete assigned projects
• Assist Production Manager in contributing to meeting company standards and achieving departmental goals

Job Requirements

• 3-5 years prior experience in construction and skilled labor involving carpentry, roofing, window installation or similar.
• High School diploma or GED required, associate’s degree or trade school experience in construction or related field preferred
• Experience in the use of a brake, and other hand tools such as a utility knife, hammer, cordless drills, etc
• Clean driving record with the ability to regularly operate and manage the maintenance of a fleet vehicle and work trailer.
• Construction related mathematical skills,
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Pay: $50,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
