Job summary

Carter Lumber Company is seeking an Installed Sales Manager to oversee installation services, repairs and remodeling work performed by installers, both employees and subcontractors. The role focuses on scheduling, project oversight, and driving margin goals while upholding service quality.

The position requires strong customer service, problem-solving, and team leadership, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years installed sales or related building materials experience.
• Strong knowledge of installation methods and process improvements.
• Excellent organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recruit qualified field personnel and subcontractors.
• Ensure paperwork requirements are met.
• Ensure installers are completing work according to the company’s code of conduct.
• Work closely with the Installed Service Manager to create a strong installed sales team to meet company sales and margin goals.
• Schedule and coordinate installed services.
• Work with existing sales force to identify installed sales opportunities and make installed sales presentations to potential customers.
• Research market opportunities and trends to grow installed sales.
• Ensure that jobs are completed timely and according to contract.
• Address issues with patience while ensuring the customer is treated with the utmost respect and highest quality workmanship.
• Direct and train Installers to ensure guidelines and requirements are met per regulatory agencies.
• Ensure the Installer has the training needed to install the product safely and efficiently.
