Job summary

Lincoln Electric's Vanair division seeks an experienced Truck Upfitter/Equipment Installer to deliver custom work trucks, assemble Mobile Power Systems, and fit lighting and graphics.

You will work with seasoned teams, read prints, perform mechanical and electrical assembly, and lift up to 60 pounds; prior upfitting or automotive repair experience is a plus.

This role offers growth within a global leader and exposure to advanced welding and power solutions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational training preferred.
• Relevant manufacturing or electromechanical experience accepted in lieu of formal training.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and prints is required.

What You Will Do

• Youwill install various types of truck bodies, Mobile Power Systems®, lighting packages, graphics, and other equipment to complete new custom builds for the work truck industry.
• You Will work alongside some of the best in the business and will drive business growth.

Education & Experience Required

• Level II: High school diploma or GED required. Vocational training preferred. Candidates without vocational training must possess relevant manufacturing, assembly, or electromechanical experience demonstrating the skills needed to perform work. Minimum 2+ years of related experience required.
• Level III: High school diploma or GED required. Vocational training preferred. Candidates without vocational training must possess relevant manufacturing, assembly, or electromechanical experience demonstrating the skills needed to perform work. Minimum 3+ years of related experience required.
• Experience in automotive repair or vehicle upfitting is a plus.
• Must be able to read and interpret prints, electrical schematics and work orders
• Must be able to perform good mechanical and electrical assembly including troubleshooting any related issues.
• Must understand the use of all production equipment.
• Must be familiar with and understand all procedures and specifications relating to assembly, testing. This includes Process Control, Inspection and Testing, Inspection and Test Status,
• Must have the ability to lift up to 60 pounds; bend and lift containers.
• Must have the ability to operate cranes and fork trucks safely and responsibly.
• Must have the ability to properly adjust Volts/WFS, and weld with a MIG welder.
