Job summary

CC&N, a Wisconsin-based company, seeks Experienced Installation Technicians for installing and maintaining Voice/Data, Fiber Optics, DAS, Security, Access Control, Wireless Systems, and Nurse Call.

Responsibilities include installation of pathways, reading blueprints, leading small crews, programming, testing, and training customers. Travel to various locations is required and adherence to safety standards is emphasized.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2-5 years in the communications industry.
• Knowledge of telecommunication, data network, cabling and/or connectivity, desktop/server hardware and software with regard to configurations and troubleshooting.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to engage with customers.

Responsibilities

• Installation of pathways and cabling.
• Analyze blueprints effectively for job site knowledge.
• Analyze upcoming tasks and anticipate equipment, procedures, and training.
• Lead small crews when required.
• Enforce a safe jobsite and OSHA safety standards.
• Installation and termination of peripheral devices.
• Programming and testing of the systems.
• Customer training of the appropriate systems.
• Maintenance and service calls for installed systems.
• Travel to various locations to replace/troubleshoot hardware.
• Monitor progress, delivery, and implementation, and complete paperwork.

Full Time

CC&N is seeking Experienced Installation Technicians that will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of systems to include Voice and Data, Fiber Optics, DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems), Security, Access Control, Wireless Systems, and Nurse Call.

• Installation of pathways and cabling
• Analyze blueprints effectively for job site knowledge
• Analyze upcoming tasks and anticipates equipment, procedures, and training
• Demonstrate the ability to complete an overall job layout for projects of limited scope and size
• Opportunity to lead small crews
• Enforce a safe jobsite and maintains compliance with company safety and OSHA safety standards
• Installation and Termination of peripheral devices
• Programming and testing of the systems
• Customer Training of the appropriate systems
• Maintenance and support, including service calls of the installed systems
• Travel to various locations to replace/troubleshoot hardware equipment
• Monitor progress of work, delivery, and implementation
• Accurately completed required paperwork

Education/Skills/Job Experience Requirements:

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• 2-5 years in the communications industry
• Knowledge of telecommunication, data network, cabling and /or connectivity, desktop / server hardware and software with regards to configurations and troubleshooting
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills - verbal, written and listening
• Confident engaging with customers throughout the project
• Solid attention to detail with good follow-through
• Ability to read and understand floor plans
• Ability to work in a team environment with demonstrated positive attitude
• Must have and be able to provide proof of valid state driver’s license, proof of automobile insurance that meets the WI state liability insurance levels, and vehicle with the ability to commute to various job sites
• Flexibility of work hours – Shifts can vary based on customer demands and may include, but is not limited to: occasional nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Successfully pass pre-employment screening

Preferred:

• PMP or BICSI Certification

Physical Requirements:

• Bend, lift and carry equipment on a regular basis
• Bend, lift, twist, turn, and crawl into tight spaces to install devices and equipment
• Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays as required
• Ability to terminate cable according to color codes
• Ability to frequently climb up/down ladder (minimum 6’) and perform extended overhead cabling/wiring from ladder
• Ability to grip, push, pull feed cable (up to 1200 pair) vertically into closets, horizontally in cable trays and between walls, ceilings and floors
• Ability to drive to job sites, to frequently get in/out of vehicle and to load/unload tools and material supplies
• Ability to travel out of state, potential airline travel required
• Ability to read, write & communicate in English
