Job summary

Sorting Robotics Inc. is seeking an Installation Technician to join our team and install and configure robotic systems at customer sites across the US and Canada. This hands-on role requires a strong technical background and the ability to travel extensively.

You will work with engineering and support teams, document procedures, and provide customer training, while advancing installation standards and SOPs. Cannabis industry experience is a plus and travel readiness is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• Prior experience in installation and maintenance of complex technical systems.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to travel extensively, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Traveling to customer sites to install and configure robotic systems
• Performing system testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality
• Providing training and technical support to customers on the operation and maintenance of the robotic systems
• Collaborating with the engineering and support teams to resolve any technical issues encountered during installations
• Documenting installation procedures and creating installation reports
• Assisting with the development of standard operating procedures for installation and maintenance activities
• Traveling up to 100% of the time, both domestically and internationally
• Working independently with minimal supervision
• Managing project timelines and ensuring timely completion of installations

Preferred: Must be comfortable with cannabis (preferred you enjoy it and have experienced it) as we manufacture robotic innovations for the legal cannabis market in the US and Canada.
