Job summary

Culligan Water is seeking an Installation Technician to perform on-site water tests, repairs, upgrades, maintenance, and installations of Culligan equipment. You will recommend and price additional Culligan products or services to maximize service value for clients.

Responsibilities include driving a company truck on daily routes, installing equipment, completing paperwork, and maintaining vehicles and tools while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Basic plumbing experience.
  • Mechanically inclined with ability to operate power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Advise customers of needed repairs or upgrades; inform customers of maintenance agreement opportunities; sell new equipment and supplies.
  • Complete paperwork related to tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist others with delivery and installation of products/equipment.
  • Meet the physical demands of the job and work under different weather conditions.
  • Maintain personal or company vehicle, tools, and equipment.
  • Communicate positively with customers and staff.
  • Follow all safety rules and Culligan policies; work weekends when needed.
  • Install water conditioning and filtration equipment in residential or commercial venues.
  • Drive a company truck to deliver products to customers according to daily route schedule.
  • Manage daily routes independently to ensure timely delivery of product.
  • Offer new products and services at the time of established product delivery.
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork daily.
  • Diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on water treatment equipment.
  • Maintain friendly conversations with customers to communicate equipment status and provide solutions.
  • Use company software.
  • Identify additional services required and present all options to customers.
  • Follow established safety procedures and written or verbal policies to ensure the safest and highest quality work.
  • Dig using tools and power tools and apply basic plumbing knowledge by following technical procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Summary

The field installation technician provides water tests, repairs, upgrades, maintenance, and installations for Culligan equipment and products. The technician will recommend and price additional Culligan products or services when appropriate. The technician's goal is to provide the maximum amount of service to clients to exceed their expectations.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or one to three months related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Basic plumbing experience.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Skilled in use of power tools and hand tools.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work a full‑time schedule.
