Pella Windows & Doors of the Carolinas and Southwest Virginia is seeking an Installation Technician in Raleigh, NC to handle all Pella installations and upkeep within two years of installation. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service aligned with company strategy and delivery of value.

Responsibilities include site checks, coordinating with service teams, daily reporting, and hands-on repairs such as sash/glass replacements and hardware installation, with a strong emphasis on safety.

Qualifications

• Must meet driver qualification and insurability requirements.
• Dependable, neat in appearance, good listener with strong communication for direct customer contact.
• 2+ years of construction/maintenance, building material, or similar field experience.
• Able to lift/move 100+ lbs. throughout the day without assistance.
• Able to work from ladders and scaffolding.
• Proactive approach and ownership of assigned projects.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety and accountability through established protocols.
• Review daily dashboard to monitor workload and ensure efficient installations.
• Act as field-level contact for service team and installers; oversee 3rd-party crews.
• Communicate project progress via reports and photos to Installation team.
• Diagnose and determine repairs for windows and doors; communicate actions to customers.
• Perform hands-on service including sash/glass replacement, hardware installation, panel replacement, and operation corrections.

Salary Range: $55,000.00 To $60,000.00 Annually

JOB SUMMARY

A Installation Technician is responsible for all Pella installation and upkeep within two years of installation. A Installation Technician provides exceptional customer service to ensure satisfaction and consistently delivers on the value proposition in alignment with company strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Always exhibit the highest standard of personal ethics and adhere to all Pella Carolina policies.
• Promote a culture of safety and accountability by adhering to established protocols, proactively identifying potential risks, and fostering a workplace environment where safety is a shared priority.
• Responsible for viewing daily dashboard to maintain awareness of current and upcoming workload to perform site check-ins and ensure installations are operating efficiently.
• Serves as field level point of contact for service team and Installers while ensuring 3 rd party crews work is being performed within company specifications.
• Navigate and utilize various computer systems on laptop, iPad and iPhone to effectively communicate project progress via reports and photos to Installation team.
• Perform diagnostics and determine appropriate path forward to repairing windows and doors while effectively communicating the proper course of action to customers and reassure them through the process.
• Performs hands on service work to include sash/glass replacement, hardware installation, panel replacement, and corrections to improve operation of windows and doors.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must meet company driver qualification and insurability requirements and maintain acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Must be dependable, neat in appearance, a good listener, and personable with good communication skills for direct customer contact.
• 2+ years of construction/maintenance, building material, or similar field experience
• Must be capable of lifting/moving heavy loads (100+ lbs.) throughout the day and without additional assistance.
• Must be able to work from ladders and scaffolding
• Takes a proactive approach to tasks and maintains ownership of assigned projects.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• 2 years of successful Customer Service Preferred
• Window and Door knowledge preferred
