Job summary

California Closets is seeking an Installation Tech to install custom storage systems for residential and commercial spaces. The role emphasizes precise carpentry work, reading CAD drawings, and delivering exceptional customer service on site.

A successful candidate will have experience with hand and power tools and the ability to follow blueprints, ensure safety, and work with a team or independently on varied projects at multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• High School diploma or equivalent required; trade or vocational training desirable.
• Experience with common hand and power tools is essential.
• Cabinetry or carpentry skills desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled and semi-skilled carpentry work to install custom storage systems such as closets, cabinets, offices, and other spaces in the home or commercial buildings.
• Utilize CAD drawings/blueprints to install systems properly and efficiently.
• Assemble and install systems of varying complexity.
• Assist in the removal and installation of materials in customer homes.
• Maintain shop tools and equipment in safe working order.
• Install systems independently or with team members depending on the size of the job.
• Provide a high level of customer service for in-home installations.
• Maintain safety standards at all times.
• Drive to and from customer sites using company vehicles.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Description

The Installation Tech installs custom designed residential and commercial storage systems and accessories using a variety of luxury materials. A successful candidate will have experience with hand and power tools, measurements and the ability to provide exceptional customer service to our client.

• This pay for this opportunity is $25-$28/hr***
• The typical work schedule will be Monday-Friday 7a-4:30p***

• Perform skilled and semi-skilled carpentry work to install custom storage systems such as closets, cabinets, offices, and other spaces in the home or commercial buildings.
• Utilize company-provided CAD drawings\blueprints to install systems properly and efficiently.
• Assemble and install systems of varying complexity.
• Assists in the removal and installation of materials in customer homes.
• Maintain shop tools and equipment in safe working order (tools are provided).
• Install systems independently or with team members depending on the size of the job.
• Provide a high level of customer service for in-home installations.
• Maintain safety standards at all time.
• Responsible for driving to and from customer sites and operating a company-provided vehicles in a safe manner.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience with common hand and power tools
• Trade or vocational school experience desirable
• Cabinetry or carpentry skills desirable
• Strong verbal and written communication and listening skills
• Able to walk, lift 50 pounds, reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb stairs, kneel, and crouch
