About the role

The Installation Technician is responsible for performing installation services for Strong Technical Services across the United States. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, has strong attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and works well both on their own and within a team environment. This position will require extensive travel and will be a mix of both over-the-road and air travel.

What you'll do

1. Install projection screens, frames, and masking systems
2. Install cinema seating systems, drapery, and speaker systems
3. Run network and speaker cabling
4. Install display panels on walls and other surfaces
5. Install high-end LED Video Walls and specialty displays
6. Construct and break down scaffolding, bracing, and other temporary structures
7. Load and unload building materials
8. Investigate and resolve customer complaints regarding quality, specifications, and delivered condition of products
9. Willing to take ownership and take on other duties as assigned
10. This position requires in and out of market travel up to 100% of the time; this position requires the ability to work weekends, occasional holidays, and overnight

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent required
2. 1-3 years of technical or installation experience preferred
3. Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus
4. Basic knowledge of construction techniques
5. Must be comfortable completing work using ladders, scaffolding, and lifts
6. Must be able to lift weight in excess of 50lbs regularly
7. Must be able to sit, stand, push, or pull for periods of time
8. Follow safety regulations in accordance with local guidelines
9. This position requires a valid, state-issued driver’s license, and reliable transportation
10. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
11. Comfortable working in a high-stress, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
12. Excellent time management, organizational, and analytical skills
13. Self-starter who can find and resolve issues as they are identified
14. Ability to successfully interface with a wide range of personnel within the organization
15. Must be able to work independently
16. Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service
17. Proficient with MS Office and basic computer networking

The pay range for this role is: 22 - 28 USD per hour (Remote - Kansas City, US)
