Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies is seeking an Installation Technician to join our DirectAIR sites. You will read blueprints, install piping and equipment, mount ductwork, and finish concrete bases while traveling to diverse locations.

The role emphasizes hands-on work with industry-leading equipment and strong customer service. The position offers hourly pay from $25.00 to $30.00 per hour, with overtime opportunities and a company-provided vehicle.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to read drawings and schematics (or willingness to learn).
• Experience using tape measures, hand tools, and power tools preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Collaborating with outside contractors to complete modules efficiently.
• Installing piping systems, air compressors, and associated equipment.
• Mounting dampers, ductwork, and compressor accessories.
• Cutting and installing prefabricated wall and roof panels per drawings.
• Trimming openings, doors, and roofs.
• Installing condensate tubing systems.
• Finishing concrete floors and bases.
• Delivering top-notch customer service and professionalism to customers, vendors, and coworkers.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Competitive Pay:This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $25.00/hr. to $30.00/hr., depending on experience and qualifications

What You'll Do

As part of our installation team, you'll play a key role in setting up our DirectAIR® sites. Your responsibilities include:

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Collaborating with outside contractors to complete modules efficiently.
• Installing piping systems, air compressors, and associated equipment.
• Mounting dampers, ductwork, and compressor accessories.
• Cutting and installing prefabricated wall and roof panels per drawings.
• Trimming openings, doors, and roofs.

• Delivering top-notch customer service and professionalism to customers, vendors, and coworkers.

What You'll Need

• Mechanical aptitude – if you have the ability and interest, we'll provide training and help you develop your skills.
• Experience using tape measures, hand tools, and power tools (preferred but not required).
• Ability to read drawings and schematics (or willingness to learn).
• Willingness to travel (approximately 65–85% travel required).
• Ability to work overtime, including weekends when needed.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Strong problem-solving skills and sense of urgency.
• Good interpersonal and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with team members, customers, contractors, and vendors.
