Job summary

AT&T in Cleveland, Ohio is seeking Installation Technicians to install and activate advanced broadband, Wi‑Fi, and voice services at customers' homes and small businesses. You will work independently as a trusted expert, meeting new people daily while solving technical challenges.

This role offers extensive paid training, opportunities for overtime, and a path to growth within AT&T’s service network; applicants should be able to lift up to 60 lbs, work evenings and weekends, and hold a valid

Qualifications

• Valid state driver’s license.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs and work at heights up to 28 ft.
• Willing to work evenings and weekends/overtime.
• Able to identify wire and cable colors.
• Pass pre-employment assessments.

Responsibilities

• Install and activate the latest technology for broadband, Wi‑Fi, and voice services at customers’ homes or small businesses.
• Work independently as a trusted expert and meet new people daily.
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues to ensure a quality customer experience.

Our Installation Technicians earn between $23.08 and $32.21 hourly. With our amazing wage opportunities, our average starting earnings begin at $47,996 per year. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.

Typical Day

What’s a typical day like? You’ll work independently at our customer’s homes and businesses as a trusted expert, installing the latest technology for high‑speed broadband, Wi‑Fi, and voice services. You’ll have the opportunity to meet new people every day while solving problems and being rewarded for doing great work. Whether you’re putting in a new line, climbing a ladder or simply plugging in and activating a wifi network, one thing is true, no two days will be the same.

Requirements

• Work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Lift and move up‑to 60 lbs – some of our ladders weigh 50‑60 lbs Weigh less than 325 lbs., required for ladder safety.
• At times work in small spaces or aloft (up to 28 ft.)
• Be available for overtime, emergency callouts and holiday work.
• Identify wire and cable colors.
• Qualify on pre‑employment assessments.
• Have a High School Diploma or GED.
