Description

What to expect as a Commercial Security Installation Technician II:

• Install, program, and configure commercial electronic security systems for enterprise clients (door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, etc.)
• Troubleshoot new security installations to ensure proper functioning and code compliance
• Supervise Installation Technician I’s as assigned by the Installation Manager
• Drive to client sites using a company vehicle to perform installations and verify system operation
• Run electrical wiring, including drilling, trenching, and aerial runs
• Connect control panels, install security software, and conceal wiring
• Complete miscellaneous tasks such as job-site clean-up

• High School Degree, Vocational School or equivalent
• 2-3 years of experience in physical security, fire alarm, or low voltage communication industry
• Experience with systems like Software House, Lenel, AMAG, S2, Brivo, Milestone, Exacq, Axis, Bosch, Commend, DMP, Open Options, Notifier, Fluidmesh, or ONSSIP
• Ability to obtain state licensing (e.g., Low Voltage D license, Alarm Installer License)
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
• Availability to be on-call on a rotational basis
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, clean record
• Ability to complete time entry via the Internet from home
• Ability to train end-users on products

Pay and Benefits

The pay range is $20.00 - $35.00/hr. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, critical illness, accident, hospital coverage, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation benefits, EAP, and PTO. Eligibility depends on job classification and tenure.
