Job summary

TraXtion is seeking an Installation Service Technician to install, service, and support TraXtion equipment at client locations. The role requires technical proficiency, on-site professionalism, and the ability to work independently on varied environments.

Responsibilities include performing site surveys, wiring hardware, testing, and providing clear operating instructions. You will travel up to 90% and must lift up to 80 lbs, with a focus on safe, compliant installations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (trade school or college preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience installing, servicing, or troubleshooting technical equipment.
• Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
• Proficiency with PCs, tablets, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work in varied environments (indoor/outdoor, ladders, confined spaces).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 90% (including Canada, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico).

• Conduct site surveys to determine optimal equipment placement and installation requirements.
• Install all necessary hardware, cables, and molding for TraXtion systems, ensuring functionality and safety compliance.
• Perform diagnostic testing, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with support and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Operate and maintain tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Document installation details, service activity, and system performance for each task.
• Provide clients with clear verbal and written instructions for equipment operation and maintenance.
• Maintain familiarity with TraXtion product lines, including hardware specs and updates.

What You’ll Do

• Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and power tools (e.g., hammer drills, drill drivers) safely and efficiently.
• Document installation details, service activity, and system performance for each task.
• Provide clients with clear verbal and written instructions for equipment operation and maintenance.
• Maintain familiarity with TraXtion product lines, including hardware specifications and system updates.

What You Bring

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent (trade school or college degree preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience installing, servicing, or troubleshooting technical equipment.
• Strong mechanical and problemsolving skills with the ability to work independently.
• Proficiency with PCs, tablets, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and work in varied environments (indoor/outdoor, ladders, confined spaces).

Preferred:

• Experience with Ethernet/network systems.
