Job Overview

As a Retail Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You will collaborate with store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory, and support seasonal resets and installations. Occasionally, you may work with products from other companies in the stores you service.

Salary and Schedule Details
  • Starting pay ranges from $15.50 to $16.50, depending on schedule and location.
  • This is a part-time position with a variable schedule during the workweek.
  • Weekly hours vary between 15 to 25 hours.
  • Availability during the week before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.
Responsibilities

Your role includes service work in the Hallmark department across various retail stores. The position involves three main components:

  1. Day-to-day engagement: Restock, organize, and monitor inventory using a provided mobile device. Communicate with supervisors, report time, and provide feedback. Interact professionally with store staff and customers. Responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
  2. Holiday support: Support seasonal demand around holidays like Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. This may include working on holidays and weekends.
  3. Department Resets: Assist with installations, fixture building, department relocations, and resets, often with two weeks' notice. Some tasks may occur during evenings or weekends.
Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding role requiring high energy. You must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 30 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The job involves walking, standing, kneeling, squatting, and climbing stairs or ladders.

Basic Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to handle products weighing up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to operate a digital device for communication and reporting.
  • Access to Wi-Fi and internet.
  • Reliable transportation to travel between stores.
