As an Installation Police Officer, you will provide police services and protection to employees, the public, property, facilities, and grounds. You will patrol buildings and grounds on foot or by vehicle, investigate accidents, respond to calls for assistance, and determine the nature of reported emergencies. You will exercise the duties of a sworn police officer by enforcing laws, rules, and regulations through warning, citation, and arrest. In addition, you will direct traffic at public events and at vehicle accident sites, operate patrol vehicles and communications network equipment, administer first-aid treatment when other emergency personnel are not present, and participate in training programs to maintain essential job knowledge.
