Job summary

QC Signs & Graphics is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Installation & Operations Manager to lead our installation team and oversee day‑to‑day operations.

This working manager role blends leadership with field work, planning crews, training installers, and ensuring safety and quality on every project.

You will manage schedules, coordinate with Project Managers, and drive on‑time, on‑budget sign installations.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of sign installation experience; leadership/supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with commercial signage, vinyl graphics and vehicle wraps
  • Basic electrical/LED signage experience
  • Experience operating lifts and/or bucket trucks
  • Strong construction and power-tool skills
  • Ability to read drawings, layouts, measurements, and installation plans
  • Strong scheduling, organizational, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to lead a crew while also working hands‑on
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving/insurance requirements
  • Ability to safely lift 75+ lbs. and work from ladders/lifts and at heights
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily installation schedule, crews, workload, equipment, and resources
  • Review upcoming projects and ensure crews are prepared with the correct signs, materials, tools, equipment, measurements, and instructions
  • Install and oversee channel letters, pan signs, monument signs, post-and-panel signs, interior signage, vinyl graphics, and vehicle wraps
  • Perform/oversee basic electrical sign work, including LED connections
  • Conduct accurate site surveys, measurements, photos, and installation assessments
  • Operate bucket trucks, boom lifts, scissor lifts, ladders, and related equipment
  • Train and cross‑train installers and establish ongoing skill-development goals
  • Enforce company safety, quality, and installation standards
  • Perform final quality checks and ensure installations meet work orders and approved specifications
  • Reduce installation mistakes, reprints, remakes, callbacks, and unnecessary go‑backs
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers and Production to keep projects moving on schedule
  • Monitor labor efficiency and help keep projects on time and within budget
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools, equipment, and installation areas
  • Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and team members
  • Identify workflow problems and implement improvements that increase efficiency and accountability
