Job summary

Verizon is hiring a Field Operations Technician in Woodland, PA. You’ll be out in neighborhoods installing, testing, repairing and maintaining the technology that keeps customers connected, with emphasis on safety and quality.

The role requires physical work, climbing ladders and poles, and working evenings or weekends as needed. You’ll be part of a team delivering reliable network services and supporting our broader field operations.

Qualifications

• Valid state driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Related Associate Degree or 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Completion Verizon Technician Program or similar lineman training (optional).

Responsibilities

• Connecting, disconnecting, testing, repairing, maintaining equipment, inside wiring and wires at poles, underground or building terminals.
• Operating and maintaining trucks and equipment needed to perform work operations in a safe manner.
• Installing, repairing, maintaining, and testing access lines for all types of equipment and technology.
• Performing construction work using designated equipment for digging holes, placing poles, laying cable/conduit in the ground and unreeling, pulling and stringing wire/cable on poles.
• Reading and interpreting engineering plans and vendor specifications.
• Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft, perceiving differences in wire and cable colors, and moving/lifting items generally not exceeding 100 lbs.
• Working evenings, weekends, holidays and unscheduled shifts as determined by the needs of the business.

Getting our customers connected to America’s fastest and most reliable network! You’ll be out and about in the neighborhoods we serve, installing, testing, repairing and maintaining the technology that keeps millions of customers connected.Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
