Job summary

Lumbermen's is seeking a field installer in the Fort Wayne area to measure, fabricate and install solid surface, granite, and quartz countertops. You will travel to job sites using a company vehicle and ensure precise, safe installation of surfaces, sinks, and faucets.

The role emphasizes strong customer communication, problem solving, and a commitment to doing things right the first time, with ongoing opportunities for training and advancement.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to measure, fabricate, and install countertops (solid surface, granite, quartz).
• Travel to job sites in a company vehicle.
• Facilitate safe, efficient installation of surfaces, sinks and faucets.
• Communicate effectively with customers and resolve issues when needed.
• Remove existing countertop materials per job order.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Located in the Fort Wayne market, this position offers the opportunity to see the fruits of your labor as you transform spaces installing solid surface, granite, and quartz surfaces.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Learn how to accurately measure, fabricate, and install custom solid surface, granite, and quartz countertops
• Travel to job sites in a company vehicle
• Facilitate safe, efficient, and precise installation of products (surfaces, sinks, and faucets)
• Ensure strong communication with customers, including effective problem resolution when applicable
• Remove laminate, tile, solid surface, and other existing countertop surface materials or backsplash per job order

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Ability to safely lift and move granite and quartz countertop products and other heavy materials
• Ability to safely operate all tools and equipment in the fabricating shop and on the installation truck

KEY QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or GED required
• Construction experience helpful but not required (tile setter, fabricator, trim carpenter, cabinet installer)
• Hilo operator’s license (training provided if needed)
• Chauffeur’s license with a clean driving record (assistance provided to obtain)
• Ability to lift up to 75 lb
