Job summary

Cook Solutions Group is seeking an Installation Apprentice in Spokane, WA. This full-time role trains hands-on to install and service security systems while working closely with a Journeyman Technician to learn wiring, testing, and commissioning.

You’ll perform site surveys, respond to service calls, and ensure systems run smoothly through thorough testing and documentation. Travel up to a week at a time may be required across the region; strong communication and a professional attitude are

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Willingness to learn and train for security system installation.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and service security systems alongside a Journeyman Technician.
• Learn wiring installation and system commissioning.
• Perform site surveys and respond to service calls.
• Test systems and ensure quality before handoff to customers.
• Maintain tools, inventory, and documentation accurately.
• Occasionally travel up to one week for projects across the region.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Work side by side with a Journeyman Technician to install and service cutting edge security systems
• Learn the ropes of wiring equipment installation and system commissioning in a supportive hands on environment
• Perform site surveys and respond to service calls with professionalism and efficiency
• Ensure every system runs smoothly through thorough testing and quality checks
• Provide excellent customer service and represent Cook Solutions Group with pride
• Maintain tools job inventory and complete documentation accurately and on time
• Occasionally travel up to one week at a time for exciting projects across the region

What You Bring to the Table

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
• Strong communication time management and customer service skills
• A professional attitude appearance and eagerness to learn
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work on your feet
• Previous installation experience is a plus but not required well train the right person with the right attitude
