Install Technician – Stanley Access Technologies, Cortland/Syracuse/Binghamton, NY

What You Will Do:

• Perform installations designated in a profitable and proper manner.
• Record productive time versus travel time.
• Maintain accurate work records and adequate parts inventory for service vehicle, keeping an inventory log.
• Keep manuals up to date, and maintain company vehicles, tools, and other property in accordance with established procedures.
• Present a neat and clean appearance personally and in workmanship, in accordance with company policies.
• Test equipment before leaving job site and perform safety checks.
• Maintain good customer relations and customer service.
• Assist others in install/service methods and other duties as may be required.
• Model, foster, and drive the Allegion values including Accountability, Respect, Integrity, Vision, Stretch, Boundaryless, and Speed.
• Other duties as required.

What You Need to Succeed:

• High School Diploma.
• Ability to work outside in various climate conditions.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Must be capable of meeting the following physical demands including, but not limited to: lifting or carrying weights from 50-75 lbs., sitting while driving for periods of up to several hours each day, standing on concrete for several hours each day, stooping, crouching, kneeling, crawling, and twisting spine occasionally.
• Ability to frequently go up and down ladders.
• Ability to work around the following conditions: moving vehicles, objects, hazardous machinery, sharp tools, cluttered floors, slippery floors, electrical hazards, poor lighting, and wet conditions.
• Must be able to read basic blueprints.
• Ability to work independently and within teams.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Must be proficient in basic computer functions such as email and MS Word.

Additional Preferred Skills & Knowledge:

• Prior experience in the automated door industry including swinging, sliding, and revolving doors would be a definite asset.
• Prior experience in the construction industry or electrical field.
• Prior experience servicing automated doors, glazing, installing glass, installing door frames, building door frames, reading blueprints, AAADM Certification.

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

• The expected Base Hourly Range starts at $25.00 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
