Job summary

First Call Security Innovations is seeking an Install Technician to join our field team in Houston. You will install, test, and troubleshoot electronic security and technology systems on commercial projects, with hands-on learning and collaboration.

You will work with CCTV/IP cameras, access control, intrusion systems, and structured cabling, traveling to job sites as needed. A hands-on mindset and willingness to grow technical skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Install and service security and technology systems, including CCTV/IP cameras, access control, intrusion detection, structured cabling, and fiber optics.
• Pull, route, terminate, label, and test cable.
• Install cameras, readers, locks, security devices, and related equipment.
• Assist with system testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and closeout.
• Read and follow drawings, plans, and project specifications.
• Work with Lead Technicians and Project Managers to complete projects safely and on schedule.
• Keep work areas, tools, and job sites organized and professional.
• Communicate job progress, issues, and project needs to your supervisor.

What You’ll Do

  • Access control

  • Intrusion detection

  • Structured cabling
