Intel Corporation in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Install Qualification Operations Specialist to drive tool installation and qualification milestones, coordinating with manufacturing, design, construction, OEMs, and vendors on-site five days a week.

You will manage scope, schedule, safety, and contractor execution, apply Lean principles to reduce install durations and improve quality, and ensure compliance with safety and de-install standards across the 6D lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business or related field with 3+ years in Project Management or tool owner roles.
  • Associate's Degree related to semiconductor manufacturing with 5+ years in Project Management or tool owner roles.
  • 8+ years of experience in Project Management or tool owner roles can substitute for a degree.

Responsibilities

  • Own key tool install milestones including set, rigging, placement, hook up, energization, and qual.
  • Support troubleshooting for Supplier Qual and Intel Qual to quickly resolve issues.
  • Drive micro schedule and pull plan development to support tool install milestones.
  • Manage decoupled construction paths SET/SL2 to accelerate readiness.
  • Coordinate testing and facility readiness DECON / DE-INSTALL
  • Lead and execute factory equipment de-install, decommissioning, decontamination, and demo activities throughout the 6D lifecycle.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, safety, and contractor execution to achieve factory turnover milestones.
  • Coordinate with engineering, facilities, operations, EHS, and external vendors to support tool move-outs and asset disposition.
  • Ensure compliance with site safety requirements, LOTO procedures, de-install standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive risk mitigation, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and cost performance.

Position Overview The Install Qualification Operations Specialist is responsible for driving key milestones enabling tool installation, readiness, and qualification within Intel Foundry Construction and Sourcing (FCS). The role is responsible for equipment install execution from pre-design through design finish and set to SL2 signoff, ensuring safe delivery, accurate scope definition, efficient construction, and prompt vendor qualification. This position requires five days per week onsite presence and close coordination with manufacturing, design, construction, OEMs, trade contractors, and supplier partners.

Key Responsibilities
Install and Qualification Execution
  • Own key tool install milestones including set, rigging, placement, hook up, energization, and qual.

Supplier and Vendor Management
  • Manage OEMs and third-party vendors to achieve best-in-class qual durations.
  • Drive early vendor enablement and facility readiness using ESOPN (Equipment sign-off per need).
  • Ensure clean handoff from construction completion to vendor qual finish.
  • Manage contracts, KPIs, and supplier scorecards in partnership with Procurement.
Operations and Continuous Improvement
  • Oversee contractor and supplier activities in accordance with SLAs.
  • Monitor site operational budget and maximize efficiency.
  • Apply Lean principles to eliminate waste, reduce install durations, and improve quality.
  • Document and share lessons learned across modules and sites.
  • Influence tool install methods through innovation and best-known methods (BKMs).
Qualifications

This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications

The candidate must have at least one of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business or related field and 3+ years of experience in Project Management, or Equipment/Engineering Tool Owner, or equivalent installation/qualification/demo/maintenance technician experience.
  • Associate's Degree related to semiconductor manufacturing and 5+ years of experience in Project Management, or Equipment/Engineering Tool Owner, or equivalent installation/qualification/demo/maintenance technician experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in Project Management, or Equipment/Engineering Tool Owner, or equivalent installation/qualification/demo/maintenance technician experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with semiconductor fab de-install, demo/decon, or construction programs.
  • Knowledge of 6D processes, DSL checklists, and factory transition activities.
  • Experience managing multiple simultaneous tool move-outs and contractor work fronts.
  • PMP certification.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $101,900.00-143,860.00 USD The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations.
