Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in teaching Chemistry, with VCE Chemistry teaching experience highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of the current VCE Chemistry Study Design and VCAA requirements.
• Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for science education.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• A collaborative and professional approach to working with colleagues and families.
• A genuine commitment to student achievement, wellbeing and development.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering high-quality VCE Chemistry lessons in accordance with the VCAA Study Design.
• Preparing students for School-assessed Coursework (SACs) and VCE examinations.
• Designing engaging practical and theoretical learning experiences.
• Assessing, monitoring and reporting on student learning and achievement.
• Using student data and assessment outcomes to inform teaching practice.
• Differentiating learning to support a range of student abilities and learning needs.
• Maintaining a safe and engaging laboratory and classroom environment.
• Building positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
• Collaborating with colleagues within the Science Domain.
• Participating in College activities, meetings and professional development.
