The Northwest School is seeking a Varsity Girls Basketball Assistant Coach to support the program and student-athletes on a competitive schedule this season. You will assist the Head Coach in planning, organizing, and developing the basketball program while modeling teamwork, character, and sportsmanship.

Ideal candidates have basketball coaching experience at the high school level or above and are committed to fostering a positive, inclusive team culture.

Qualifications

• Expertise and experience coaching basketball, preferably at the high school level or above.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Head Coach in planning, organizing, coaching, and developing the program and players.
• Model and inspire dedication, responsibility, teamwork, and sportsmanship among student-athletes.
• Generate enthusiasm and pride among students in the program.
• Teach skills and strategies for high school basketball.
• Engage with student-athletes, colleagues, parents, opponents, referees with respect and positivity.
• Attend trainings and coaching clinics to improve expertise and effectiveness.
• Work as a collaborative member of the program and Northwest School community.
