You will design lesson plans aligned with established guidelines, build rapport with students, staff, and parents, and motivate students to develop essential academic skills for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1–3 years of successful teaching experience (may include Student Teaching Internship).
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Command of grades/subject content and learning theory.
• Understanding of CSUSA values and commitments.
• Successful results of criminal and employment background check.
• Effective instructional delivery techniques and excellent communication skills.
• Such alternatives to the above requirements as CSUSA may find appropriate.
• May perform other duties assigned.

• Creates purposeful, effective lesson plans and maximizes time on task.
• Presents subject matter with real-world examples to maximize learning.
• Maintains accurate student records and reviews progress.

• Uses differentiated instruction within lessons and varying modalities.
• Assesses student learning regularly and updates progress.
• Refer students to support personnel when needed and manage assignments.
• Coordinate class field trips and prepare for state assessments.
