Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
• Plans and implements a program of study that meets student needs, interests and abilities.
• Maintains an environment conducive to learning and communicates clear objectives.
• Prepares for classes and shows evidence of preparation upon request.
• Assesses student progress and provides reports as required.
• Maintains professional competence and supports a positive self-esteem in students.
• Takes precautions to protect students and property, and maintains classroom order.
• Attends staff meetings and participates in committees as needed.
• Serves as class/club sponsor and promotes positive school-community relationships.
